The one we took our time with. The back print is the umbrella polypore, Polyporus umbellatus, drawn from years of watching it come up in the same Appalachian hollows, always from the same hidden thing: a sclerotium, the hard black underground mass it stores itself in between seasons. It's rendered the way we study it, engraved by hand: the branching cluster of little capped stems up top, the short shared stem, and the burnt-black sclerotia at the base where it all starts. Small mushroom mark on the chest. 240 GSM oversized cotton, vintage mineral wash in light pink. Boxy drop-shoulder fit, size down for a standard fit. Ribbed crew neck, double-needle hems, pre-shrunk. Screen-printed front and back. Fit notes: cut intentionally roomy through the body and shoulder. If you want it closer to your frame, take one size down.
machine wash cold inside out, hang or tumble dry low, do not iron the print. The mineral wash softens and fades slightly with wear. That's the point. Sizes: S · M · L · XL · 2XL. Printed in small runs in Buckhannon, West Virginia.
